OSCAR & UPCAKES!
Geçtiğimiz Pazar akşamını Pazartesi gününe bağlayan gece nihayet Oscar ödülleri dağıtıldı! Son birkaç aydır neredeyse tüm boş vakitlerini aday filmleri seyretmeye adamış olan Oscar Takipçileri Komitesi olarak geceyi canlı izlemek üzere tam teşekküllü olarak toplandık. Kırmızı halımız olmasa da; şık kıyafetlerimiz, kokteyllerimiz ve de tatlılarımız ile geceye hazırdık! Komite başkan yardımcısı Selçuk Bey’in getirdiği renkli balonlara bağlı bir kutuda Jake arkadaşımız tarafından yollanan ev yapımı rengarenk “upcake”lerimiz çok lezzetli idi… Hazırlamış olduğumuz Oscar sonuçları anketlerimizi birer birer doldurduk ve sabaha kadar heyecanla sonuçları izledik.
Ancak maalesef sonuç tahminlerimde büyük hayal kırıklığı yaşadım. Bu sene tercihlerimi daha duygusal yapmış olmalıyım ki Akademi ödülleri epey farklı dağıttı. Anket sonuçlarında birinciliği 24 kategoriden 15 doğru ile Serdar Bey aldı. 12 doğru sonuçla Ebru Hanım ikinci olurken 8 doğru ile Selçuk Bey ile sonunculuğu paylaştık. Fakat “The Hurt Locker” filminin elde ettiği başarı Selçuk Bey’i çok mutlu ettmesine rağmen ben Avatar’a haksızlık yapılmış olduğu fikrindeydim. Elbette en iyi senaryo ödülünü almasını beklemiyordum; ancak sinema teknoloji ve endüstrisini bu denli etkileyen ve değiştiren bir filme hakkını teslim edeceklerini düşünüyordum. Gecede pek çok dalda ödülleri süpüren “The Hurt Locker” bence iyi bir film olmakla birlikte yılın en iyi filmi değildi.
Ayrıca en iyi senaryo dalında “Inglorious Basterds” ve en iyi kadın oyuncu dalında Sandra Bullock için de aynı hayal kırıklığı söz konusu idi. Her ne kadar politik açıdan Akademi’nin fazladan değer biçeceğini düşünsem de yılın performansının kesinlikle “Julie & Julia” ile Meryl Streep olduğundan emindim (hala eminim aslında). Yine de sanırım herkes gecenin en dokunaklı, en iyi ödül kabul konuşmasının Sandra Bullock’un olduğu konusunda hemfikirdir.
Gecenin ev sahibi ikilisi Steve Martin ve Alec Baldwin‘in sunuşlarının oldukça sönük olduğunu ve aday şarkıların bile sahnelenmediği törenin müzik & dans açısından çok fakir olduğunu da söylemeden edemeyeceğim. Böylece şahsen haftaya oldukça uykusuz ve keyifsiz başlamış oldum!

Yeni Conan Geliyor (İrlandalı olan değil barbar olan)! January 22, 2010
Son birkaç haftadır medya haberlerinde ve dedikodu sayfalarında, forumlarda ve bilumum mecrada Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien ve aslen NBC kanalı arasındaki program kavgası gündemde. Fakat konumuz bu değil…. Conan filmini yeniden çekmeye karar vermişler. Ve de başrol için yeni nesil vampir bozması ya da metroseksüel ya da yarı çocuk yarı erkek yeni yetme starlar yerine bizim Jason Momoa’yı seçmişler!!!
Bizim diyorum çünkü kendisi Stargate Atlantis’ten yakın arkadaşımız olur… hem de Lisa Bonet ile birlikte olduğu için (ki iki çocukları varmış birlikte) bir yandan da enişte diyebiliriz.
